WHAT IS NIL?
Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) refers to NCAA guidance that allows student-athletes to earn compensation for the use of their NIL. This legislation allows student-athletes to earn compensation in the following ways:
- Advertisement Appearances
- Autograph Sales
- Personal Brand & Business Activities
- Personal Appearances
- Private Camps, Clinics, & Lessons
- Social Media Promotions & Influencer Activities
- Other Third Party Endorsements
ARE CONTRIBUTIONS TO DAM NATION TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
Dam Nation is not a 501(c)3 organization, thus, contributions are not tax-deductible. While we are not a not-for-profit entity, we aim to operate like one, and commit to our supporters that our goal is to have 95%+ of every dollar contributed to Dam Nation go directly to Oregon State student-athletes.
IS DAM NATION TIED TO OREGON STATE’S OUR BEAVER NATION FUND?
Dam Nation is a standalone entity that is separate from Oregon State University and/or the Oregon State University Foundation. NIL Collectives must be entirely separate from the university which they support, per NCAA regulations.
